As of March 31, 2025, we’ve officially closed our NE Killingsworth location and moved into our newly remodeled Piedmont campus—a bright, modern space thoughtfully designed for our students and families.

Summer Program

Our Summer Program is open to school age students five to eight years old.

Mini Pipster

We are so excited to welcome two year olds at our Pipster Prep Northeast, Concordia, Hillside and Lake Oswego locations. Our goal is to provide a rich environment of exploration and discovery for our littlest Pipsters. <BR>

Miniest Pipster

We are so excited to be able to provide care for students at least 18 months old in our Miniest Pipster Class.

Friday Date Night

Once a month, our Friday Night Pajama Party (6:00 to 9:15 pm) is open to potty trained children 3 to 8 years old. Dinner is included and served at 6:30pm. Availability is limited and is open first to parents of enrolled students.

We have tried a few childcare locations in the NW area and I have both of my kiddos in Pipster now. I cannot say enough positive things about Pipster. I truly have a sense of peace when I drop my littles off, knowing they are in wonderful hands. We get daily updates via messages and multiple pictures a day. I could not be happier. One of the biggest things to look for in quality is how a childcare center treats their teachers and how they pay them, Pipster goes above and beyond with this and it shows in the teachers they are able to recruit and the care that is passed down to the little ones. I found Pipster Prep back when my oldest son was 2.5 (he is now 5) and boy was I glad I did. Searching for preschools can be challenging and as a stay at home mom I was pretty specific in what I was looking for. In the neighborhood I lived most of the preschools were all playbased with very little focus on academics, because I was at home everyday playing with my kids I was looking for a place that could teach the things I didn’t know how to, in a way I didn’t know how to, especially if I was paying for it. I found Pipster Prep online and took a tour with my son, we both fell in love. It had the structure of a classroom but still provided playtime and outside time everyday, it was the perfect balance, I felt like I had found my dream school. I loved the student-centered approach and my shy son thrived. He went from only talking to the teachers to talking to everyone, he is now reading short books and doing some math and writing on his own. My other son started last September and even though they are completely different kids he also loved everything about the school, his favorite time was choice activities, he has learned all his letters and letter sounds, to count to 30 and how to spell his name. I couldn’t be happier with both boy’s academic progress, both my kids have been told by there teachers in where we now live in Bend that they are very advanced which makes me feel great but it is not all about academics. The boys would often come home with fun art projects, tales of trips to park or other neighborhood walks, fun in the balloon room, whatever it was they were always happy and tired when they come home.

My daughter has been at Pipster since last April (2014), and we can't be happier. When we moved from New York, we were on a mission to find a pre-school that has a safe and fun environment, friendly yet professional team of staff and structured set of learning curriculum that helps my daughter excel socially and academically.
On our list of potential schools, we had an international school in downtown, Pipster and one other school. We didn't see what we were looking for in the international school we were originally hoping to send our child, and we were quite disappointed until we visited Pipter. We felt the warmth of school, friendliness from the staff and were quite impressed by the school curriculum which places emphasis on both fun and active learning.
My daughter who visited the school with us loved it right from the beginning, and we signed up on the spot. She has been enjoying her school ever since and made many great friends and learned bunch! We highly recommend checking out Pipster.

We moved to Portland from Australia at the beginning of 2014 and my daughter had left a wonderful pre-school behind which we thought we could never replace. Tessa and her team have not only exceeded our expectations, but they have been like a family to my daughter this year.

Our 3 yr old daughter started at Pipster a couple months ago and it has been a very positive experience. Her teacher and the rest of the staff have been so creative and patient with one the adjustment issue our girl has had, we are so grateful. The flexibility of the hours is such a blessing for our lives- drop off and pick up stress has reduced 1 billion percent at Pipster. Our girl is happy to go to school and they provide so many fun enrichment experiences for the kids (watching baby chick hatch?! Watching lady bug larvae become a lady bug and learning about the cycles?! So cool). It’s so fun and the staff is so great I’ve even contemplated, do I want to work for Pipster?

Here is the best preschool to send my kid to. He cannot speak a word of English and teachers are so kind and patient to teach him. He can understand all the command in one month. He can speak sentences around 3 months. All the teachers and co-teachers are full of love with kids. They knows the personality of kids and guild them in a proper way. The various classes are amazing including painting, dancing, yoga, reading, team-playing, nature-walk, language etc. last but not least, they are using apps to record, parents can see photos everyday and easy to communicate with teachers and get quick responses. So lucky to have my kid in the Pipster.

I have sent my son to Pipster Prep and have been so pleased with the experience such that it was an easy decision to enroll our daughter who is 3 years younger with Pipster Prep. The teachers are incredibly responsive and keep us parents included in daily activities with lesson plans, photos, etc. The level of communication and daily activities are absolutely top notch compared to the other preschools that my son went to prior to Pipster Prep. Also, class sizes are small, and I mean, small- which means there is an incredible amount of individual attention, which I think is important at the age our children are at.

The staff are absolutely wonderful and the space is clean, bright and cheery. They promote creativity and open play but also provide adequate structure/routine and academics. This is a wonderful school. Amazing communication. Happy teachers. SMALL class sizes. They have been extremely accommodating of my child who has a disability. I can’t say enough about Pipster prep. The kids do such cute creative activities. They are wonderful at setting up a stable routine. They offer part time schedule if you don’t want your kids in full time. Childcare is one of the most stressful parts of being a parent, Pipster takes that away.

What an amazing place. Our son went to Pipster for about a year and a half, and he loved it. The teachers were great, the activities were awesome, and it was always very nice and clean. My daughter went to Pipster for 2 years and she loved it! Their rates are very reasonable compared to other preschools in the area, the teachers are excellent, Tessa (the owner/operator) is excellent, the space is well appointed, and they took excellent care of my little one. Plus, my daughter learned a ton and they did an amazing job preparing her for kindergarten. My little is now excelling in kindergarten, and is already reading, all because of Pipster. I really can't say enough good things. Great people, great value, great experience. If you have the opportunity to send your kiddo to Pipster, you won't be disappointed.
